Product Overview
Application and test scope
Air-Tightness Test Bench for Valves is intended for sanitary piping and related connections. It is used to perform pneumatic leak tests with air supply, pressure control and fixtures matched to the pipe specification. The test arrangement is selected around the sample construction, service conditions and required evaluation method.
Tests and configuration
- Establishment and stabilisation of test pressure
- Pressure-change records over the specified interval
- Acceptance criteria for sample and connection leakage
Typical test workflow
Connect the sample, confirm fixture sealing and establish pressure using the agreed fill and stabilisation sequence, then record pressure changes. Check fixture sealing separately to distinguish fixture leakage from product leakage.
Selection information
For a suitable proposal, provide pipe material, length and volume, connections, test pressure, allowable leakage, test time and air-supply conditions. Product drawings or a sample help define connections, locating tooling and test circuits.
Measurement ranges, accuracy, automation, data interfaces and acceptance criteria are defined by the selected configuration and agreed technical proposal.
Existing equipment information

Equipment Name: Air-tightness test bench
Application: Type testing
Products Tested: Various sanitary plumbing pipes
Equipment Purpose: This bench combines advanced pressure control technology with precision instrumentation to simulate a range of service conditions and perform fast, accurate air-tightness tests on sanitary pipes of different sizes and materials.
Test Specification: Various sanitary plumbing pipes
Configuration: Air compression system, pressure control module, test fixture, control system, auxiliary unit
Reference Standards: GB/T 29730
Working Principle:
- Pressurisation: an air compressor compresses ambient air into the bench’s receiver tank. Once tank pressure has stabilised, a high-precision pressure regulating valve sets the required output pressure. The regulated compressed air is delivered through the pipework to the test fixture connected to the pipe, applying the pre-set internal pressure.
- Pressure monitoring: high-precision pressure sensors fitted at the inlet and outlet of the pipe under test monitor pressure changes in real time and transmit the signals to the control system.
- Leak judgement: using the sensor feedback, the control system compares the pressure difference between inlet and outlet over the set test time. If the difference exceeds the permitted tolerance the pipe is judged to be leaking; if it remains within tolerance the pipe is air-tight.
