Working Principle
The hydro-pneumatic test bench works on the principle of a pneumatic liquid booster pump. It uses low-pressure gas to generate high-pressure fluid, making it suitable for static and burst pressure tests on a wide range of high-pressure components. Specifically, the booster pump uses low-pressure gas acting on a large-area piston to drive a small-area piston, producing the high-pressure fluid used for testing.
Test Procedure
Sample placement: place the sample to be tested on the test platform.
Pressurisation: set the pressurisation conditions and start the machine; the sample sinks with the tray into the chamber while pressure is applied internally.
Hold and observe: during pressurisation, if the sample has a leak, water or air is forced into it and the leak point can be located by watching for bubbles.
Test complete: when the test time has elapsed, remove the sample for inspection.

Hydro-pneumatic test benches are widely used for strength tests and high / low pressure resistance tests on high-pressure components, including hoses, metal pipes, automotive pipework, condensers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, petroleum machinery and aviation hoses.
